Testing and assessment

​The purposes of assessments are to:

  • Promote, assist and improve learning.
  • Inform programs of teaching and learning.
  • Provide information for students, parents, teachers regarding the progress and achievements of individual students in order to help maximise their achievement.
  • Provide information for the issuing of statements of achievement.
  • Provide information to community and education authorities.

Responsibilities

  • Student – to manage and monitor their own assessment requirements.
  • Teacher – to provide a quality educational program.
  • Parents – to support the education of their child.
