As an IB MYP (Middle Years Program) candidate school we continue to engage our students in key elements of the program. The MYP Community Project has been introduced to our Year 7 & 9 students this year in their Wednesday Session 3 (if they are not already involved in Wolves or the College Musical). In 2023, the Community Project will just be for Year 9 students, the final year of the MYP. The Community Project is an opportunity for students to collaboratively develop their understanding and application of service learning and action where students are support through a project planning process (involving investigation, planning, taking action and reflection). Service Learning relates to learning about a community in order to serve them to the best of our ability and action is learning by doing, learning through experience and taking principled action. We look forward to sharing more information about these projects once students have commenced their investigation and planning stages.
