Calamvale Community College’s uniquely designed, holistic environment for Junior Secondary student guides students as they transition from childhood to young adulthood. Our program recognises this period of rapid physical, emotional and intellectual development and works to engage them in establishing their own identity and place in this rapidly changing world and becoming confident learners engaged with their teachers and curriculum.
Adolescent learners are eager to experience new independence, but must also cope with the physiological changes as they transition from a child to teenager. The Junior Secondary provides the ideal context in which to develop academic excellence and learning-to-learn-skills. Delivering outstanding educational outcomes in an agile and thriving P-12 learning community where our people are: creative and critical thinkers, problem solvers and citizens of the world.
We offer a wide range of opportunities for our students, from real-life experiences in academic areas to our many extra-curricular activities. We offer a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Maths) program which is second to none with teams competing successfully in the UAV challenge amongst other achievements.
At Calamvale Community College we pride ourselves on giving the best possible support to our students so they are able to grown into thoughtful, confident, competent contributors to their local community and wider society.
